Midwest University
On 14 August 2026 Jungsoo Kim was appointed Professor in the School of Business Administration at Midwest University, in Wentzville, Missouri, with responsibility for AI and Digital Transformation Strategy. He teaches in the university’s international MBA program in AI. The appointment was marked at the university with a small ceremony in front of the Midwest University backdrop, and with flowers from colleagues and from Soongsil University in Seoul congratulating him on the appointment and on the opening of the international MBA program in AI.

Midwest University, founded in 1986, is also where Kim completed his doctorate. He received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership at the university’s commencement on 14 May 2026, an occasion covered in an earlier post.

Gyeonggi University of Science and Technology
On 26 August 2026 Kim began lecturing at Gyeonggi University of Science and Technology (GTEC) in Korea for the fall 2026 semester. He teaches two courses.
- Java Programming (Department of Artificial Intelligence). Three credits, three hours a week, lectures with practice. Fifteen weeks from development environment and basic syntax through control flow, arrays, classes and objects, inheritance, casting and overriding, abstract classes and interfaces, packages and modules, and file input and output, with a midterm in week 8 and a final in week 15.
- AI Prompt Design for Problem Solving (General Education, AI and Digital Transformation). Two credits, two hours a week, practice-based. Fifteen weeks that move from defining the real problem, through clarity, role, context, format, and chain of thought, to verification, document extraction, structured output, choosing the right AI tool, and building a personal prompt template, closing with a final project presentation.
Course materials, weekly assignments, and notices for students are published in the Lectures section of this site, where each course has a single page with all fifteen weeks. Students do not need an account to read or download. The course pages are at /lectures/java/ and /lectures/ai-prompt/.
One occupation, several places
Kim describes building technology, teaching it, and writing about it as a single occupation held in several places. Midwest University, where he teaches AI and digital transformation strategy to MBA students, and GTEC are two of those places this year. The third is the Gyeonggi AI Digital Learning Center, where he is lead instructor and where the audience is the public rather than a department. The fourth is CO M&A, where he is CTO.
